A Georgia-based Real Estate Firm
Whittaker Associates was asked by our client, an Atlanta-based real estate brokerage firm, to assist them in marketing three unique facilities. The first was a 217,000 sq. ft. former electronic distribution facility with 60,000 sq. ft. of office space on two levels. Based on the characteristics of the property, target audiences included the Federal Emergency Disaster Recovery agency, a film studio, data centers, and a school supply depot. The second assignment was a 415,000 sq. ft. older distribution facility close to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. A number of potential uses were identified, including records storage, lost luggage depot, and recycling center. The third property consisted of a 220,000 sq. ft. rail facility formerly used to distribute appliances. By examining the rail-based manufacturing along the rail line, we identified a target list of potential distributors. Discussions are underway with these potential tenants.
A Chicago-based Real Estate Brokerage Firm
Whittaker Associates has aided a Chicago-based real estate brokerage firm in obtaining and marketing several real estate listings throughout the years. Among some of the most unique facilities we’ve helped market recently were a food manufacturing facility, a marina, and a former chemical plant. The more irregular and challenging the building, the more efficiently and accurately we can target the best users for sale or lease of the property.
A Texas-based Commercial Real Estate Firm
Waxahatci, TX was the site of the former super-collider project headed up by the U.S. Department of Energy. When federal funding was withdrawn, the 200,000 square foot facility became available for sale. Whittaker Associates worked with the owner and his agent to identify possible users of this property. Due to the unique nature of the facility, it was determined that the best re-use for the building would be for data center or co-location services. We then provided our client with a database of 175 firms who offered those capabilities.
