As you may recall, our newsletter is designed by each of us at Whittaker Associates to share what we have learned during the previous month. In my case, I have learned about gratitude and hope.

David Chang , a 23-year-old co-worker, was rushed to the emergency room on May 30. He subsequently learned that he has an advanced stage of cancer. David is now at a special treatment center on the West Coast.

David reminded me to be grateful for each day we are given and to appreciate the simple things in life, such as friends, family and co-workers. David also taught me about hope. Despite a dire prognosis, David remains hopeful, and his outlook is positive and upbeat. His friends and supporters continue to rally to offer their encouragement and let him know that he is not alone. There is always hope. Our thoughts and prayers are with him.
