This past month, I flew south to Orlando, FL to escape the cold Michigan winter. There, I met up with friends to spend a few, sunny days at Disney World. It had been over 20+ years since I had visited the theme parks, and while they still held their same fun and magical atmospheres, I had to laugh at my train of thought as I wandered through the parks. How many ‘cast members’ do they employ? I wonder what their payroll costs are? How do they keep their operations running so smoothly and seamlessly? Who invented this MagicBand that I’m wearing? I’m on vacation, why am I thinking like this?

Sometimes, you just need to turn off your “adult brain” and experience the world as a child would. Instead of focusing on the whos, whats, whens, whys, and hows, focus on the moment, the oohs and aahs, and wows!

Here are some of the magical moments I captured from my visit to Disney World.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Safari

Fireworks and light show at Epcot

Bioluminescent flora comes to life at nighttime in ‘Pandora – The World of Avatar’

Pictures never seem to do justice to the actual experience, but taking it all in with wonderment makes for some of the best memories!
