Whittaker Associates was asked by an Atlanta-based real estate brokerage firm to assist them in marketing three facilities. The first was a 217,000 sq. ft. former electronic distribution facility with 60,000 sq. ft. of office space on two levels. Based on the characteristics of the property, target audiences included the Federal Emergency Disaster Recovery agency, a film studio, data centers, and a school supply depot.
The second assignment was a 415,000 sq. ft. older distribution facility close to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. A number of potential uses were identified, including records storage, lost luggage depot, and recycling center. The third property consisted of a 220,000 sq. ft. rail facility formerly used to distribute appliances. By examining the rail-based manufacturing companies along the rail line, we identified a target list of potential distributors.
