During September, I spent the better part of the month traveling out West both for work and for pleasure. It was my first time leaving Michigan since the pandemic started and was a much needed change of scenery. Living nearly my entire life on or near Lake Michigan, I always thought I’d need to settle close to a large body of water, and one that I couldn’t see across to the other side! However, the more I travel, I realize the mountains out West are where I feel most at home. It’s where my love for hiking, photography, and wildlife come together seamlessly. Here are a few pictures of my favorite places I visited during the month. I hope you enjoy the beauty our country has to offer!
